In India starting from the era of Vedas and dictatorship Govt. by the kingdoms, we have observed a greater differences between people grouping on the basis of caste system and we have seen so much violence and controversies happening on the same issue. But are we really able to bring equality among the people just by giving a huge percentage of reservation? Afterall what is the meaning of giving reservation on the basis of caste?!!
I will give you an example for this,A farmer is there with 5 acres of barren land with no money to invest wants to send his son to a reputed institution but he won't get any benefits just because he is not a part of quota and he has to sell his land for giving education to his son. But on the other hand, a rich person under quota gets all the facilities for free..!!And there is no need to tell you about the polititians of our great country who have spoilt the name of their posts by their idiotism.

All of us fight for "equality" in the society. But tell me where is the meaning for the word?!!I am not telling that giving reservation is a fault. But the way or the criteria in which it is implemented should be changed. We are facing the imbalance in the race for Equality :-(

everyone s afraid to talk about this topic! ... even i thought twice before commenting because in India its a social taboo to raise your voice against the issue.
ReplyDeleteyeah it leads to social and political issues if you talk about quota system....arjun singh made it worse by introducing obc in iits...but vp singh was the one who sowed the poisonous seeds by introducing the mandal commission report...
ReplyDeleteif no one talks then no one wil care us inspite of watever gud talents we hold.... if dis continues den we r almost doomed... we cant stand against it but we can defend the way its growing.... nice one man...
ReplyDeleteThere needs to be a quota system... Based solely on poverty line and deciding who is bpl shud be under a strict n honest commitee.. Ya, quite hopeless in India today!
ReplyDelete@all, thanks... rightly said karthik, if we stay back without opening our mouth, nothing will change ...
