‘Paa’- Yes I’m talking about the Big B movie released a few days back, which once again proved his acting talent (Even though nothing is left to be proved). I’m not going do a film critics work coz I didn’t find the movie very interesting except for few scenes. I just want to write about the scene where the little Auro wins the prize n lot of appreciation in a model competition for making a “White Globe” .A globe without borders, a globe without boundaries, a globe without any so called nations or states at all. Silently sending a message “ One world is all we need “.
Something here really strikes.
Something out of bound ;) [Like trial triangle, he he ;)]
Now lets have a birds eye view on ourselves. (Now don’t kill a bird for it’s eye ,current medical knowledge has zero resources about bird’s eye transplantation ;)
From a long long time ago we are living in groups,
Our ancestors also lived in groups,
They worked in groups,
still we do.
N we do LOVE our group.
Group I’m talking about may be a nation, a state, a district, a village, or may even be a small circle of friends.
These groups, (for instance say nations) were created just to make administration smooth, thus things easier
n life easy .
But unfortunately things are heading in the opposite direction.
Life’s getting worse day by day.
As I mentioned we LOVE our group, yes we should.
We LOVE our nation coz it’s ours, that’s the way it’s supposed to be.
We LOVE our state, coz it’s ours, hmm… nice.
Fine…!!! Everything seems to be simply superb right…?!! Yes it is..!!
Problem starts when the word HATE comes into picture.
Loving something doesn’t mean hating all other things.
Loving something just means loving something, nothing else.
When the word hate gains entry Love becomes absurd, Meaningless, n irrational.
The reason behind writing all these things is the growing regionalism in and around us.
The very reason why I wrote this is activities of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike(KRV), MNS, n Moral policing by religious outfits n many such organizations .All the time in news for all wrong reasons, in the name of protecting the language, culture or whatever.
The core intention of these organizations of protecting something is of course appreciable, coz we should of course protect whichever is ours, n it’s our responsibility to do it.
But these people doesn’t seem to hav understood the basic facts. They have gone wrong at the roots.
They think destructing others is protecting ourselves,
Hating others is loving ourselves.
Good things gone bad (Worst).
These so called pro-language or pro-cultural outfits have done nothing ‘for’ the language or the culture.
All they have done is attacking other languages and cultures in different ways in the name of protection.
They have failed to understand the basic fact “Love for something can never be created by force”.
These acts of creating disharmony just create heatedness among ourselves for no good reason making us miserable , enforcing misery on others.
You can’t protect or make people love our language by painting tar on English sign boards.
You can’t even do it by hurling stones at theatres showing other language movies.
You can’t protect our culture by attacking people following other cultures.
You can’t create love through heatedness.
You can’t order people what to do n what not to.
Learning a new language will never prevent anyone from loving his own language.
Failed to understand these all these organizations involve in useless, destructive activities creating disharmony in the society.
Let’s think for a while (I think v hav got something called brain inside our heads)
Coz we have to act. Because the solution lies in us.
Because we are the ones who should tune ourselves.
-Let’s love our language , our culture, our nation n whatever is ours, coz it’s ours, n it’s our duty to protect it.
-Let’s also love other cultures , other languages, other nations or at least try not to hate them.coz we don’t lose anything by loving
-Let’s ignore those “idiots” (don’t have a better word) spreading the hatred , let’s not bother about what they do if we can’t stop them.
(I think media shouldn’t glorify these organizations nor should give free publicity)
Often ignorance is the best medicine J
Let Divisions be there for unity, not unity for divisions.
Let’s learn to love n not to hate
Borders are just a mark on the earth
Let’s be grounded n down to earth
Live, love n laugh, know their worth.
Come on guys, lets have a rebirth
We hate none, v just need a White Earth. ;-)
